Currently, our count is at 123 people. This is, I think, a great response, and with 8 days remaining to enter, we should hopefully get some more.

I haven’t been on tumblr today. In fact, I haven’t used my computer much at all today. I missed a lot of Back to the Future posts, some anti-Yankees posts and Yankees fan posts and a whole lot of Guy Fawkes and V for Vendetta posts.

I also missed the news about the Fort Hood murders.

As I catch up, I scroll through a page, go to the next page, scroll through a page, go to the next page. And as I do that I’m going backwards through time. Reblogged conversations start long and get shorter, and shorter. Well considered answers to questions dissolve back into the questions themselves. News of violence happens in waves and crescendos with an initial shocking revelation.

And then it’s as if it didn’t even happen and it makes me want to stay there, hidden in the folds of tumblr.
